Our History

The Gualtieri family's legacy of sculpting marble in Carrara, Italy, dates back to the early 20th century when the patriarch, Arrigo Gualtieri, first chiseled his artistic vision into stone. The craft was then passed on to his son, Dino, and Grandson, Roberto who honed their skills growing up in the shadow of Carrara's majestic marble quarries.

Biography

Roberto, a third-generation sculptor, studied at the marble school in Carrara in the 1970s.

The founder of the workshop was his grandfather Arrigo Gualtieri, followed by his son Dino, and now by his nephew Roberto.

From father to son, this family of artisans passes down the mastery of creating marble artworks in various fields: from funerary art to interior furnishings, from marble busts to coverings like walls and floors.

All marble works are inspired by the classical art of Bernini, Michelangelo, and many other renowned artists from the Renaissance to the Baroque period.
